Gohar Ali Khan decided to challenge PHC order in Supreme Court

The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Gohar Ali Khan, has announced plans to contest the Peshawar High Court’s ruling on reserved seats in the Supreme Court. Expressing confidence that every party should receive its rightful share of reserved seats, he emphasized the principle that no party should claim more seats than it earned in elections.

Gohar highlighted concerns over the Election Commission altering the schedule for reserved seats for women, potentially resulting in the loss of approximately 80 seats. Despite having submitted a list of reserved seats in December, the party found itself compelled to align with the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) due to prevailing circumstances.

Contrary to some reports, the letter to the IMF did not advocate against extending loans to Pakistan. Barrister Gohar clarified that discussions with the PTI founder focused solely on selecting candidates for the Senate elections, with no other topics addressed even during the passage of a resolution on the Palestine issue.

Additionally, the PTI leader asserted that the party was not responsible for organizing the demonstration outside the IMF building.
